Seligson Properties is a real estate development and services company that owns and manages a substantial portfolio of properties. Since 1979, it has developed over one million square feet of office, retail, medical and light industrial buildings primarily in Fairfield County , Connecticut . Seligson Properties has an experienced staff of professionals, focusing on acquisition, development, site planning, financing, construction, leasing and property management. It is also the parent company of Olympia Construction Company, which acts as construction manager for all company projects in addition to providing construction services to third parties. </p> <p>The company is proud of its extensive client roster and has completed build-to-suit projects for many tenants, including Airborne Express, Toys R Us, Norwalk Hospital , The Gap, Loehmann's, Laidlaw Transportation Company, Fleet Bank, The Sports Authority and Circuit City , Costco, Pier 1 Imports, Kinko's and Lillian August. </p> <p>Of particular note, Seligson Properties controls or owns development sites in the burgeoning West Avenue corridor of Norwalk , Connecticut and has been named preferred developer for the area encompassing approximately 20 acres. Working closely with the City of Norwalk Redevelopment Agency on its $350 million urban renewal project, it is a principal player in a complementary $200 million plan to revitalize Norwalk Center with 500,000 square feet of new retail space and 400 residential units in early 2006. </p> <p>Seligson Properties' land inventory also includes its most recent acquisition of 442 Main Avenue in Norwalk , the site of a planned upscale condominium development. Currently under construction, some units are scheduled to be completed by Spring of 2005. The company is also preparing to undertake the final stages of a retail redevelopment on Post Road , which will add approximately 50,000 square feet of retail space to an existing 100,000 square foot building leased to high-end furniture retailer Lillian August. </p> <p>Seligson Properties is also moving forward with the construction of a new, architecturally significant, 33,000 square foot apartment building to be located on Berkeley Street in Norwalk .
